Pivot Security is a Canadian private security company headquartered in Scarborough, Ontario, with operations serving the Greater Toronto Area and clients across the country. We were founded on the belief that effective security requires more than a licence and a uniform.
Over fifteen years, we've built the operational infrastructure, training protocols, and technology stack required to deliver protection that actually works — not protection that looks like it does on paper. Today, more than 500 clients across enterprise, government, retail, residential, and construction sectors trust Pivot to protect their people, assets, and operations.
We are licensed, insured, and fully compliant with Ontario's Private Security and Investigative Services Act. Every officer we deploy carries a valid PSISA licence, completed Pivot's own site-specific training programme, and operates under documented protocols reviewed and updated on a continuous basis.

Most security deployments fail before the officer steps on site.
The staffing-agency problem
Most security providers operate like staffing agencies — filling shifts with whoever is available, rotating officers without briefing, and measuring success by whether the post was covered rather than whether anything was made safer. For enterprise clients and property managers across the GTA, this produces consistent results: an officer with no site knowledge, escalating incidents, and a security programme that exists on the contract but not in practice.
The accountability gap
A guard who is supposed to be on patrol but spends the shift at a desk. Incident reports that are incomplete, inaccurate, or never filed. No visibility into what the security team is actually doing during the hours the client isn't present to observe. Five years in, Pivot had grown from a single-market operation into a full-service provider across Toronto, Scarborough, Mississauga, Brampton, Markham, and the broader GTA — serving enterprise, government, and residential clients.
